Not all of our staff is featured below. We have many volunteers and behind the scenes personnel that are incredibly valuable to us. Below are some of the more common faces you will see. Please contact us if you want information about our Board of Directors.
Parker Lattimer
Head Pastor
Parker started as our Head Pastor in May 2020 after serving as our Youth Minister from January 2015 to April 2020. He oversees and ministers to all areas of our church. He and his wife Sarah met in Nacogdoches, Texas and have two sons.
Parker grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and Houston, Texas. He has a background in Exercise Physiology & Human Performance. He enjoys spending time with his family and horses as well as doing home projects, hunting and watching College GameDay.
Rhonda Taylor
Secretary
Rhonda began as Secretary in November 2006. She is the friendly face you'll meet if you visit our office and the wonderful voice you’ll hear if you give us a call. She also works on many projects behind the scenes like our financials.
She met her spouse Leland in Levelland, Texas in 1993. Their five children have blessed them with 11 grandchildren. Rhonda has a background in a variety of fields including store management, truck driving and banking. She enjoys family dinners, camping and Rock, Gem & Mineral Shows.
Lorienda Comer
Treasurer & Pastoral Assistant
Lorienda has served with us since June 2012. She blesses our elder ladies, visiting with them wherever they live and helping them go shopping, get groceries and go to doctor’s appointments. She has also begun ministering to single mothers in our community.
Lorienda has spent time in Denver City, Brownfield, and Sundown, where her son currently lives. She has one grandson. A Sundown graduate, she attended South Plains College before working at and retiring from Girlstown USA. She enjoys reading, yard work and being with friends.
Jay Winfrey
Worship Pastor
Jay began leading our Worship Ministry in November 2013. He desires that all of those involved in leading praise and worship are obedient to the Holy Spirit above all else. In this, we as a congregation can be full of faith that God will bring about transforming encounters and reach places in the hearts of people that music alone cannot touch.
He and his wife Carrie met in Portland, Oregon and have three girls. Jay grew up in Sundown before pursing a degree in architecture, which he has been able to use to contribute to various renovations around the church. He enjoys spending time with his family, traveling to Maryville, Missouri where Carrie grew up, carpentry and writing & recording music.

Melissa Stephens
Children’s Minister
Melissa has been our Children’s Minister since September 2020. She serves our children from the time they are babies through their 5th grade year. She is also in charge of all of our kid related events like Vacation Bible School & Hallelujah Night.
She met her husband Zack in Levelland where she grew up. They became high school sweethearts and have two twin daughters and a son. Melissa has a background in childcare and office administration. She enjoys spending time with family, supporting her kids in their extracurricular activities, reading, crafting & a great pair of shoes.
Amy Green
Golden Care Minister
Amy joined our ministry team in March 2020. Her heart is for the elderly in our community and surrounding areas. She established our Golden Care Ministry to bring love and cheer to these often overlooked individuals. She and her husband Danny met at Callisburg Church where they were married in 1993. They have 5 children, 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
After graduating from South Plains College, Amy opened a child care center in Sundown. In her retirement, enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. She also serves with the Texas Baptist Men Disaster Relief and is eager to be anywhere God calls her.
Sarah Lattimer
Media Minister
Sarah began handling our online presence in 2016. She handles our website and marketing materials, and with the help of our sound engineer, Steve, ensures our sermon podcast and livestream reach you all each week. If you have any questions regarding these services, please reach out to her. She is happy to help you.
Sarah has a background in psychology and child development and served in college ministry after completing her B.S. degree, which is when she met Parker. She enjoys being a stay-at-home-mom to their two sons, reading and graphic & interior design.
Shorty Hensley
Chairman of the Deacons & Board President
Shorty has been coming to church here since the mid 1960s. He began serving as a deacon in the early 1990s and became the chairman in 2008. Our deacons serve across many areas within our church and around our community like renovations and home projects.
After graduating from South Plains College, Shorty made a career in farming and retired in 2011. He met his wife Teresa in Levelland in 1975. They have two children and three grandchildren. Together, they enjoy attending Randy's Bible studies to better know God, to understand their relationship with Him, to experience Him and to be His obedient son and daughter. Shorty's other interests include spending time with family & friends and hunting.
